girls get-away weekend

This weekend I headed out to Palm Springs for a girls get-away celebrating my long time friend, Ashley's bachelorette weekend! I felt quite due for a weekend out of town and a weekend of good friends, relaxing,  longing at the pool, and great women couldn't have been more perfect. After a yummy brunch at Hash House A-go-go 5 of the 6 headed out on the road from San Diego to Palm Springs. At one point sitting in traffic we got to see this rare sight, a helicopter being towed!

We arrived to the Viceroy around 4:30 pm and were in complete awe of the amazing decor and luxeriousness of the resort! We checked into our villa and immediately changed to swimsuits and scouted out the 3 pools for the best spot to hang till dinner.

Bathroom...with attached walk-in closet (almost the size of my childhood room)

Dining room...

Talk about an amazing unique place! Here is the pool (1 of 3) where we spent the days! (This picture was evening time, these lounge chairs were all usually occupied)

Friday night we had dinner at Matchbox, a resturant with woodfired pizza and great beer menu! Here are all the girls at dinner that first night. Dinner was followed up by drinks and dancing at The Village Pub to a live band!

Saturday we spent relaxing...had a great breakfast at the hotel's resturant Citron, followed by spa treatments (which left me feeling like jello), lying by the pool, late lunch at Citron again, afternoon naps, happy hour in the room while getting ready then off to a Mexican dinner.

The 4 of us have known eachother since elementary school, so crazy!

Tash, me, Ash, Adrienne

These party animals taking tequila shots at dinner! Things got silly after this!

Saturday after dinner we headed to a gay dance club called Tucans. It came highly recommended to us and although probably not something I would recommend to others it was definently a eye opening experience!
Sunday morning we woke up had a great breakfast at Citron again, a little time by the pool and then packed up the villa. On our way back to San Diego we stopped at the Desert Hill Outlets!

Our girls weekend get-away was filled with all things us girls enjoy! I cannot wait for the wedding weekend to hang out with these fabulous women again! Thanks all for an amazing weekend and to Ashley arranging this great time!

Myself with the bride-to-be! Love you Ash!

to be or not to be?

So after venturing on a second date with a gentleman I couldn't help but think on my drive home whether I was ready to give up my independence and singlehood for this guy. All things aside, he's a very nice guy and shows me the attention I would love to get from someone I was really into, but I'm just not sure that he is that. Most of my friends know that I would love to find someone to marry, get married and have a family and the sooner the better. After this date however I started to think about how great I have it as a bachelorette and after lots of thought don't think that he is the right guy to give that up for. So the search continues for the man worth giving up my single life for....

....to be continued.

memorial day

Thank you to those who have served and given us the many freedoms we enjoy today!

My day was spend under the sun, at no other than the beach with Pati, Leith, and some of their friends. We grilled out at one of their beautiful condos overlooking the beach and enjoyed the evening eating yummy food and sharing fun college memories!

Pati 12 days from her due date and looking great!

The parents-to be!

I hope you all had an enjoyable day!

blue eyed beauty!

On my trip to Seattle this blue eyed beauty stole my heart! I mean look at her, how could she not!

Morning photo shoot! (one of many, I just had to capture all the cute pink outfits and melt-your-heart smiles!)

Enjoying her first meal of peas!

too cute!

Love this hat and outfit!

The smiles, giggles, cools, laughs, falling asleep in my arms, bouncing in my arms, darling outfits, and quiet cuddles just melted my heart! I miss this little blue eyed beauty and wish I could have bottled her up and brought her home, I guess I'll have to settle for visits when I can get them! I'm ready for another!

home to pikes place market, beautiful green scenery, and dear friends!

With much anticipated this weary eyed, sleep deprived girl headed to the Pacific Northwest. Upon arriving to the Seattle area I was greeted with a little rain (okay, it was alot, but that's probably just Seattle's way of saying hi) but quickly the skies parted and before we even got to Kristin and Frank's house were blessed with 2 full double rainbows!

The next morning Kristin, Frank, Haley and I headed across the Puget Sound on a ferry to Langley, a small town on Whidby Island. Here is K and I on the ferry. Definently a beautiful day!

The view during our picnic lunch!

Sunday we headed to Bellevue to meet up with my friend Sarah from U of A and her son, Brayden! I was very excited to catch up with Sarah and meet Brayden. We all enjoyed lunch at Cheesecake factory and strolling through the mall with the babes.

It would only be appropriate that Kristin and I introduce Haley to our friend Vera....Vera Bradley, she enjoyed it very much, all the contrasting colors/patterns had those blue eyes wide!

My last day in Washington, Kristin, Haley and I headed to downtown Seattle. We hit up Pinoneer Square, Pikes Place Market, the first Starbucks, Fran's Chocolate (recommended by Libby, and a good one it was too), and The Crumpet Shop (YUMMY!).

We enjoyed a great day just us girls and it was the perfect end to a wonderful trip! The whole way to the airport I was sad to be leaving and looking forward to seeing my dear Washington friends again soon!
